Big Top skills help tots prepare for school

Nursery children enjoyed all the fun of the circus while learning new skills which will help prepare them for the Junior School.  They took part in a Circus Skills workshop as part of a programme that responds to the government’s early years guidance. The workshop helps develop physical skills, such as co-ordination, control, manipulation and movement, so vital in supporting personal, social and emotional development in children’s early years. The tots took part in activities based on juggling, plate spinning, tightrope walking and balancing acts. The activities, run by circus skills experts Pressplay, were both challenging and fun.
