Lively… vibrant… happy… successful
Welcome to Streatham & Clapham High School Senior Department.
When you step inside our doors you will be struck by the happy, friendly atmosphere and air of purpose which permeates our school. There is a buzz of warmth and vitality: both girls and staff have an enthusiasm for whatever it is they are doing, academic or extra-curricular, but this relaxed atmosphere fully complements our high academic standards and the hard work, energy and commitment we expect from the girls.
We appreciate the trust you place in us when your daughter joins the school. As well as first-class teaching, our role is to provide encouragement and guidance every step of the way, and we pride ourselves on raising achievement and expectations all round. We provide a caring and supportive culture, one which addresses the needs of each pupil. We believe that happy, confident girls make good learners and that our role is to help each girl discover and develop her own abilities.
One of the major strengths of Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) – which is located in a surprisingly green and leafy oasis of South London – is a rich social and cultural mix. We are firmly rooted in our community and warmly welcome girls from the local area. We embrace diversity and encourage respect for others as an important element in our school ethos and as preparation for life.
